Some rescue cats need weeks to feel comfortable in a new home. Others move right in, pick their favorite human and immediately start demanding unlimited attention. One adorable tabby named Missy has definitely chosen the second option!
New Zealand foster mom Sally Watt, known online as @sallywatt, recently welcomed Missy into her home, and the affectionate little feline wasted no time making herself comfortable. But while Sally was delighted to see her new foster cat opening up, she quickly discovered that Missy had developed a serious obsession with her foster dad.
And apparently, personal space is no longer allowed in this household!
In a hilarious video, Missy makes it abundantly clear that her foster dad is her favorite person in the world. The determined tabby simply cannot get enough of his attention, constantly seeking affection and refusing to give him a moment of peace.
While some cats prefer admiring their humans from across the room, Missy has decided that being as close as physically possible is the only acceptable arrangement. She’s clingy, affectionate and completely unapologetic about it!

Viewers couldn’t get enough of her adorable attachment, with several joking that Missy had already chosen her forever family.
One commenter shared a funny observation about how selective animals can be when choosing their favorite people.
“My baby boy is a diva. He doesn’t like children or men he only like being around women. And when he likes a man, I know I can trust that man.”
Others were convinced that Missy’s determination to win over her foster dad meant she was secretly auditioning for a permanent spot in the household.
But Sally isn’t quite ready to declare this a foster fail.
“We’ve said this about basically every one we’ve had and we’re still going strong!! She’s putting in the work though, bless her,” she joked.
For now, Missy is still looking for her forever home, although she’s clearly getting plenty of practice being someone’s devoted little companion.
And whoever eventually adopts this affectionate tabby should probably prepare for one important lifestyle change: Missy doesn’t believe in personal space, and she’s certainly not planning to start!
