One adorable Golden Retriever puppy has a very important rule when it comes to going on walks: His favorite stuffed animal must come along, and there’s absolutely no room for negotiation!
Meet Brody, a fluffy sweetheart who has captured hearts on TikTok after showing his mom that some things are simply too precious to leave behind.
In the hilarious video, Brody is standing at the top of the stairs when his mom calls him downstairs for their daily walk. The pup looks down at her, seemingly considering the invitation, but instead of running toward the front door, he suddenly disappears.
Apparently, someone forgot a very important passenger!

Mom calls for Brody again, and moments later, he reappears with a tiny stuffed puppy proudly tucked into his mouth. With his beloved plush companion secured, Brody happily trots down the stairs, looking completely ready for his outdoor adventure.
There’s just one small problem. His mom doesn’t think bringing the stuffed animal is such a great idea.
She gently asks if he really needs to take his little friend outside and suggests leaving it safely at home. But Brody isn’t interested in discussing the matter.
The determined Golden Retriever keeps his stuffed puppy firmly in his mouth and waits patiently by the front door, as if to say, “We’re both going, Mom. Please open the door.”
And really, how could anyone argue with that adorable face?
The sweetest part is how seriously Brody takes his responsibility. He isn’t throwing a tantrum or making a fuss. He’s simply standing there with his favorite toy, quietly refusing to begin the adventure without his little buddy.
Many dogs develop strong attachments to particular toys, which can offer comfort and familiarity. For Brody, his tiny stuffed puppy appears to be the perfect walking companion.
Whether his mom eventually gives in isn’t clear from the clip, but one thing is certain: Brody has already made his decision.
