You know what, we’re just going to come out and say it. People who adopt are better than everyone else. There, we said what we said. But don’t worry, we have tons of proof and arguments to prove it. Owning a pet is a lot of work as it is, but owning an adopted pet is almost twice the work. Not always, of course. There are tons of cases where adopted pets are healthy, wealthy, and thriving. But most of the time, they likely have some sort of trauma. Be it abandonment, hunger, or god forbid violence.

People who adopt know the risks but choose to proceed anyway, and we honestly think that’s the noblest thing one can do on this earth. Offer and contribute all of their time, effort, love, energy, and more in order to help a weak, powerless pet in need. Today we’re sharing a video where a woman talks about her deaf cat; her story, the challenges that came with adoption, and how she learned to communicate with her.
