When we think of the heartbreak of a beloved pet crossing over to the rainbow bridge we usually think of pet dogs or cats. That leaves a whole lot of other sorts of animals that people live with and love and grow super attached to.

According to RSPCA.org, goldfish have a lifespan averaging about 10-15 years, with some varieties living up to 30 years when provided with proper care.
It’s pretty remarkable that the owner got this fish when she was just 18 years old and had him until she was forty. She obviously took excellent care of him.
Our hearts go out to this awesome fish mom and we are so sorry for the loss of her beloved fish and hope that in time her heart heals.
