The holiday season is special for so many reasons, but nothing is more special than seeing loved ones for the first time in a while. After all, what are the holidays without anyone to be holly jolly with? Even our canine friends like to be involved in the festivities, and they agree that the companionship and joy is one of the best parts of the holidays.
Just ask Mini Goldendoodle Otto, who’s experiencing this reunion and joy for the very first time! This sweet puppy has been with his forever family for six whole months now, but he’s spent the last few months missing a very important member of his family. His human brother has been away at college, but when he finally came home on November 25, the little dog could hardly contain himself!

These brothers are too cute! It’s hard to tell who’s happier to see the other, but it’s safe to say that their mom is smiling behind the camera, too. In fact, she was the one who shared this priceless moment! Having both of her boys home for the first time this holiday season has to feel like a scene straight out of a movie.
“Last night, we had my son, daughter, and both of their long-term significant others under one roof since mid-August,” shared commenter @hmeredith2. “I thought our Golden Retriever mix was going to lose her mind. She was so excited!” Family reunions are just as special to dogs as they are to people, but it’s safe to say that dogs show their joy so much more. From tail wags to happy cries–nothing is off limits!
