Sure, giant puddles in your backyard can be an inconvenience… but have you ever tried splashing around in one? You don’t have to be a kid (or an adorable puppy) to appreciate the fun a puddle has to offer. In fact, all sorts of wildlife recognize the joy of a “puddle party,” as a woman named Stefanie calls them.
The best puddle party Stefanie has ever seen has to be the one that took place in her own backyard. When she spotted a number of deer and ducks coexisting in a large puddle, it was still raining. But these adorable creatures did not mind one bit! Check out the most adorable “puddle party” in the video below!

“What in the Snow White?! How do I sign up to inherit this house,” someone jokingly asks in reply to Stefanie’s video. Another person admits, “It’s the deer thinking the ducks are bath toys that gets me.”
It can be easy to focus on the ways we’re different from our animal friends. But just like us, these deer and ducks love to play. Just look at the way these happy deer “dance” around! It’s no wonder Stefanie chose to share even more footage she captured that day. Look at all of those deer!
It’s nice to see that so many deer feel this comfortable in Stefanie’s backyard. It can take a lot of trust for a wild animal to get this close to humans. Once they recognize you’re trustworthy, however, you’d be amazed at how often they’ll visit.
