It’s impossible to predict when someone may run into an animal in need, so animal rescue often involves some resourcefulness and creativity. Whether it’s maneuvering a large horse out of an icy pond or luring a bear to safety with the scent of a sandwich, there are so many heroic ways to save the day.
On May 30, ABC News shared a heartwarming video from a pair of cyclists in Jalisco, Mexico, when they happened upon a litter of puppies all by themselves. The bikers didn’t think twice before loading up the entire litter in their shirts and riding 12 miles to bring them home. They’re true heroes!

Aww, just look at them all! Some of the pups look like tiny panda bears, while others look almost like Border Collie puppies. Whatever breed they are, they are downright adorable!
Six stray puppies seem like a lot to carry, but these cyclists didn’t bat an eye before strapping them into their bike shirts. It may not be a conventional way to transport a dog, but hey, it works!
“Not all heroes wear capes, they wear cycling jerseys!” one person commented. You can say that again! Anyone could become an animal rescuer at a moment’s notice, and these two answered the call with grace and intelligence.

Thank you for rescuing these pups.
