A touching TikTok video of a dog owner going the extra mile for her aging Great Dane is melting hearts across social media.
In the now-viral clip shared by @docmclaugh, a massive but gentle Great Dane named Hanky is seen hopping onto his very own stair-lift to head upstairs for bedtime. The sweet moment, posted in June, is captioned simply: “Our new nightly routine.”

Hanky’s owner, who lives in Dallas, Texas, installed the lift to make life a little easier for the senior pup—and viewers can’t get enough. The video has racked up more than 344,000 views and over 29,000 likes as people across the platform praise the thoughtful gesture.
Large and giant dog breeds like Great Danes are considered seniors as early as age 7, according to veterinary experts at VCA Animal Hospitals. As dogs age, they often face joint problems, loss of energy, and mobility issues that make things like climbing stairs painful or even dangerous.
By giving Hanky his own personal “elevator,” this dog mom has not only eased his physical strain but shown just how deep the human-animal bond can go.
