A high-energy husky mix who had already been returned to the shelter twice finally found her forever home — thanks to a determined college student who refused to give up on her.

In 2023, Bradi Jones, 24, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, visited her local shelter and instantly connected with 2-month-old Tiffany. The puppy had already been returned twice in just two weeks, and another potential adopter had passed. The reason? Tiffany was bursting with energy.

For most people, that would be a dealbreaker. Not for Jones. Despite her busy schedule juggling school, training, and swimming meets, she knew she couldn’t leave Tiffany behind.

Adopting Tiffany was just the beginning. “Even after long walks, dog parks, and hours of play, she still had so much pent-up energy that she would get into things around the house,” Jones told Newsweek. “It felt overwhelming at times, but I knew if she had consistency, patience, and structure, she would come around.”

Many people doubted her decision. They called Tiffany “a bad dog” and told Jones to return her, but she stood firm. “She wasn’t broken or bad — she just needed stability and to be understood,” Jones said.

Training Tiffany wasn’t easy. With her mix of Siberian husky, Great Pyrenees, Australian cattle dog, and German shepherd, she’s smart, independent, and stubborn. But Jones remained consistent with commands, socialization, and crate training — and the results speak for themselves.

Today, Tiffany is a transformed pup. She’s confident, cuddly, and still playful, but knows when it’s time to chill. Jones calls her “the sweetest, funniest, most loyal dog” and is grateful she trusted her instincts.

Jones shared Tiffany’s journey on TikTok (@bradijones1), and it has gone viral, with over 724,700 views and nearly 40,000 likes. Her message is clear: don’t give up on a rescue dog, even if they seem challenging at first. The ones that need the most patience often give the most love in return.

“Rescue dogs aren’t always easy, but they’re worth it,” Jones said. “It will be the best thing you ever did, and you’ll be proud of all the hard work and love you poured in.”
