The folks at We Deux Farm knew a couple of their goats were pregnant — they just didn’t expect the babies to arrive quite this fast.

They had their eye on one Nigerian dwarf goat who seemed close, but when the family got home, they were stunned to find that Sugar, the goat they thought still had plenty of time, had already given birth right out in the pasture.

Even better? One of the brand-new babies could be heard adorably calling out as the farmer walked up, basically announcing, “Surprise!”

Sugar handled the entire delivery on her own before being moved inside to a warm kidding stall under heat lamps. But the surprises didn’t stop there. As soon as Sugar and her babies were settled, another goat named Switch suddenly went into rapid labor right outside the barn — delivering a second set of twins.

By the end of the whirlwind day, the farm welcomed four baby goats in just a matter of hours. All of the mamas and babies are now safe, cozy, and bonding in their pens with plenty of milk and attention.

According to the farm, a full moon may have played a role in the chaotic — and joyful — timing. Either way, it turned into an unforgettable homecoming and a whole lot of baby goat cuteness all at once.

Nigerian dwarf goats are known for their small size, gentle personalities, and easygoing nature, making moments like this even sweeter. And judging by these tiny newcomers, they might also be some of the most adorable farm babies around.
