Some animals sprint straight into the snow, while others take one look and turn right back inside. A pet camel named Shamy is firmly in the first category — and his snowy antics are making people everywhere smile.
Shamy lives at Llamazing Adventures, a 120-acre hobby farm in Canada, and while most people picture camels baking under desert sun, this guy seems perfectly happy in freezing temperatures. In fact, he appears to love them.
The farm recently shared a video of Shamy enjoying the season’s first extreme cold day, with temperatures around –4 degrees. Instead of hiding from the chill, Shamy celebrated it — hopping, skipping, running, and bursting into full-on zoomies across the snow-covered ground.

Watching the camel bounce around like an overexcited puppy instantly won over viewers.
In the caption, Llamazing Adventures joked that while they personally aren’t fans of winter, Shamy clearly feels differently.
“Ahhh, the joys of winter,” they wrote. “At least Shamy is happy!”
The clip quickly filled with comments from people who couldn’t get enough of Shamy’s joyful snow day.
“He’s making snow angels with his neck,” one person joked.
“Does Shamy have any other jobs than providing the best entertainment?” another asked.
Others were genuinely curious about how camels handle cold weather, with one commenter asking if camels need winter coats like horses. The farm replied that coats can be made — though they admitted the results sometimes look more like ninja turtle outfits.
Some viewers were surprised to learn that many camels actually tolerate cold very well, especially considering desert temperatures can drop dramatically at night. As one commenter summed it up perfectly: camels are quirky, tough, and completely unbothered by whether they’re standing in scorching heat or fresh snow.
