There’s an unwritten law of the universe that cat lovers know all too well: the person who insists they “don’t like cats” is almost always the one cats become completely obsessed with.
That’s exactly what happened to Brian Searcy, who found himself targeted by an adorable little kitten named Carlos — and honestly, the internet can’t get enough of it.
From the moment Carlos entered Brian’s life, the tiny kitten apparently decided he had one mission and one mission only: turn this man into a cat person by any means necessary.
And Carlos is not giving up easily.
The determined little kitten showers Brian with nonstop cuddles, surprise kisses, aggressive biscuit-making sessions, and constant demands for attention. Personal space? Carlos doesn’t believe in it. If Brian sits down, Carlos is immediately there. If Brian lies down, Carlos is somehow already on his chest.
The hilarious and wholesome clips of the pair together quickly melted hearts online, especially because Brian initially seemed less than thrilled about becoming a cat dad.

But as every cat owner already knows, resistance is futile once a kitten decides you belong to them.
At this point, it’s pretty clear Carlos officially chose Brian as his human — whether Brian agreed to it or not.
And honestly, who could say no to that tiny face?
If there was ever any doubt about who won this battle, Brian’s wife later confirmed it in the comments of another video. Alongside a photo showing Brian and Carlos asleep together, she shared the update everyone was waiting for:
“Update: Brian and Carlos are inseparable.”
We all saw that ending coming from a mile away.
