One fearless 5-week-old Golden Retriever puppy was absolutely convinced she could persuade her grandmother to play — and when that plan failed, she found another way to have fun.
An adorable Instagram Reel shared by @cbenglishcreams captured the sweet interaction between Lucy, a mature English Cream Golden Retriever, and her energetic little grandpuppy.
While three other puppies happily played together in the grass, this determined youngster focused all her attention on Grandma Lucy.
The tiny pup eagerly approached the older dog and appeared ready to start a playful wrestling match. Lucy, however, was not quite in the mood for puppy chaos.
Instead of getting irritated, the patient grandmother calmly placed one paw over the puppy’s head, delivering a gentle correction that seemed to say, “Take it easy, little one.”
The video’s caption perfectly captured Lucy’s amused attitude, joking that she allowed the puppy to “have its moment” before adding, “That’s adorable, kid. Call me when you’ve paid taxes.”

The rejection did little to discourage the confident puppy.
Moments later, she began climbing all over Lucy, scrambling through the older dog’s thick white fur as though she had discovered the world’s softest jungle gym.
Lucy could have stood up or walked away at any time, but she remained stretched out on the grass and calmly tolerated the puppy’s enthusiastic climbing.
The older Golden even appeared to enjoy the tiny paws pressing into her back, turning the playful attack into an unexpected puppy massage.
Set to Thurston Harris’ classic song Little Bitty Pretty One, the sweet video quickly won over viewers.

Between the puppy’s unstoppable confidence and Lucy’s endless patience, the heartwarming family moment was almost too adorable to handle.
