At first glance, some people might feel sorry for a dog who can’t hear and has limited vision. But spend just a few moments watching this rescued Corgi mix, and it becomes clear he’s living a life filled with plenty of happiness.
The double merle rescue dog, shared by @chemicallyweirdgirlcass, is deaf and only has about half of his vision. None of that stopped him from immediately realizing that something delicious was nearby.
As soon as he caught the scent of a pup cup, his entire mood changed.
His rescue mom, Cassidy, captured the adorable moment on video as the excited pup zeroed in on his special treat. Despite his limited sight and hearing, he seemed to know exactly where the snack was.
And then there are those enormous ears.

“All those ears just for decoration huh?” commenter @rilynbeans joked.
They may not help him hear, but they certainly make him even more adorable.
Even with all that excitement, the pup remained surprisingly polite. Instead of diving wildly into the treat, he carefully sampled it like a perfect little gentleman.
The sweet reaction also showed just how much joy this rescue dog gets out of everyday experiences. Cassidy clearly adores him, and judging by how spoiled he appears to be, he seems to have landed in exactly the right home.
For anyone wondering what a pup cup actually is, most cafes and restaurants simply serve a small cup of whipped cream. Some locations may add dog biscuits or even tiny bacon pieces on top.
While dairy isn’t a good fit for every dog, many pups can enjoy a small amount of whipped cream as an occasional treat.
For this little rescue, one sniff was all it took to know something very special was headed his way.
