In a heartbreaking video shared by her owner, Sandy, the Golden Retriever mama mourned the loss of one of her newborn Goldendoodle puppies. It’s a tough clip to watch, but it captures just how real and raw a dog’s emotions can be.

Poor Willow had given birth to a litter of 10 tiny Goldendoodle pups. Tragically, one of the little ones was too sick to survive. When Sandy tried to gently take the puppy away, Willow simply couldn’t let go. In the emotional footage, Willow stops Sandy, carefully taking her baby back to spend just a little more time together.
“She continued going over to the others to make sure they were okay,” Sandy wrote in the video’s text overlay, giving a glimpse into Willow’s incredible devotion.
The clip shows Willow keeping her lost pup close, cuddling it tenderly in a moment so raw and touching that it broke hearts all over the internet. The bond between this mama and her baby was absolutely unbreakable.
The comments section quickly filled with people mourning alongside Willow.
“When my girl lost a puppy, once I took it away she would tear around the house searching for it. It shattered me. Four times,” one person shared.
