That’s exactly what happened with Ally, a senior Golden Retriever whose energy had all but disappeared. Before her family brought home a puppy named Beau, Ally seemed exhausted, weak, and far less mobile than she once was. Her legs struggled, her enthusiasm was gone, and her humans quietly worried they were nearing the final chapter of her life.
They debated whether bringing a puppy into the home was the right move. Ally was older, fragile, and they feared the change might be too much for her.
