There’s something about Friday that makes everyone move a little faster, especially when the weekend is finally within reach.
Apparently, penguins feel the same way.
A group of African penguins at Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey, has gone viral after enthusiastically charging down a ramp in a clip that perfectly captures that Friday-afternoon feeling.
The video, shared on the aquarium’s TikTok account @adventureaqua, shows the little penguins waddling straight toward the camera with surprising speed and plenty of determination.
The aquarium summed it up perfectly in the caption: “Running into the weekend like…”
The short clip quickly took off, pulling in more than 3 million views.

Viewers couldn’t get enough of the penguins’ tiny feet, flapping wings and serious expressions as they hurried along together.
“Their little flippy flappies,” one commenter wrote.
Others kept it simple, calling the penguins “so cute” and “distinguished gentlemen.”
Some viewers joked that the group looked like a football team running onto the field.
Another admitted they were expecting the penguins to throw themselves onto their bellies and slide the rest of the way down.
One viewer even joked that the penguins’ running style looked suspiciously familiar.
“That looks like how I run. Maybe I was a penguin in my past life,” they wrote.
Whether they knew it or not, the little birds managed to capture exactly how millions of people feel when the workweek is finally over.
