Some dogs take a little time to warm up to new friends.
Apollo the Golden Retriever apparently skipped that step entirely.
In an adorable video shared on Sept. 26, the cheerful Golden comes across a group of Great Pyrenees and immediately acts like he has just discovered his long-lost relatives.
Apollo bounces around the fluffy white dogs with nonstop excitement, clearly hoping someone will match his energy.
The Great Pyrenees, however, appear much less impressed.
Instead of joining in with Apollo’s enthusiastic greeting, the much calmer dogs mostly stand around and watch as the Golden happily hops from one new friend to the next.
That difference in personality only makes the interaction funnier.
Apollo seems completely convinced that he belongs with the group.
And honestly, it is easy to see why.
Golden Retrievers and Great Pyrenees can both have light-colored coats, plenty of fluff and the kind of sweet faces that make them look like they could all be part of one very large family.
Apollo certainly seems to think so.

One viewer perfectly described the moment as “the way he keeps bouncing around looking for someone to return the energy.”
Another called him “just a jolly little lad.”
That may be the best description of Apollo.
No matter how little enthusiasm he gets back from the Great Pyrenees, he never seems discouraged.
He keeps wagging, bouncing and introducing himself as if he is determined to win every single one of them over.
The Pyrenees may not have matched his excitement, but they seemed willing to tolerate their very energetic new “brother.”
And for Apollo, that was apparently good enough.
By the end of the encounter, it feels less like one Golden Retriever meeting a group of strangers and more like the world’s happiest dog accidentally stumbling into a family reunion.
