Anyone who has planned a wedding knows how important it is for guests to RSVP. An accurate headcount helps ensure there is enough food, enough seating and no last-minute surprises that could throw the celebration off course.
But at one wedding in Asheville, North Carolina, an unexpected guest arrived without an invitation, and no one seemed too upset about it.
That may be because the visitor was not a person at all, but a three-legged black bear.
A local catering company captured the unusual moment on video as the bear casually wandered near the wedding celebration, appearing completely unbothered by the guests and vendors nearby.
The clip, shared on social media by @mikasaavl, begins with the large bear standing in a grassy field near a lawn game and quietly taking in the scene.

After a few moments, the animal rises onto its hind legs, seemingly trying to get a better look at the festivities. Once satisfied, the bear sits back down and makes itself comfortable.
The catering company joked in the caption that the unexpected visitor appeared to have “the best seat in the house.”
Although the bear’s arrival initially surprised everyone, the guests and staff remained calm and kept a safe distance. The animal eventually lost interest and wandered away without incident.
The three-legged bear may not have been included on the official guest list, but it certainly gave the newlyweds and their guests a wedding memory they are unlikely to forget.
